B.E.S.T. Enrichment Program
The B.E.S.T. Enrichment program is designed to improve the self-image and esteem of middle and high school adolescent females. According to the Real Girls, Real Pressure: A National Report on the State of Self-Esteem-New York Key Findings, six in ten girls (59%) in New York believe they are not good enough or do not measure up in some way, including their looks, performance in school and relationships with friends and family members. The report further states that nearly half of teen girls (46%) reported engaging in negative activities, such as disordered eating, cutting, bullying, smoking, or drinking, when feeling badly about themselves.
To assist in combating these and other issues that teen girls deal with, YMBP, Inc. uses the power of positive female role models, a safe environment, open communication and the B.E.S.T. Enrichment Program to impact its participants. Designed to be fun and interactive, the B.E.S.T. Enrichment Program develops girls who are beautiful, educated, servants, and talented, but who have not fully embraced their BEST self.
The program focuses on four essential elements: Beauty, Education, Service & Talent.
