SIMONE WEBB, 07' & 08'
In 2007 and 2008 Simone competed in the Young Miss Buffalo Pageant, and came in 3rd and 4th place respectively. If this wasn’t a sure sign of her bright future, she began to create her own clothing by cutting and painting custom items. In 2010, Simone began creating earrings that quickly took Buffalo by storm. Simone realized that not only did she have an eye for fashion, but she also had a true gift with people and connecting. In 2017, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising and relocated to New York City to fiercely follow her fashion dreams. Simone also obtained a certificate from Parsons School of Design in conjunction with Teen Vogue in 2018. In addition to being a freelance wardrobe stylist, Simone plans to continue her education with a master’s degree in international business. Her love for fashion ,creation, merchandising, customer service, and business makes her put her all into Acid Cupcakes. As the marketing and outreach director, Simone’s main goal is to make as many girls around the world feel good about themselves. Simone was the Keynote Speaker at YMBP's 2019 Annual Awards Luncheon.
I think the workshops were very valuable for the girls. The addressed issues that were important. Your program was everything and much more, it exceeded my expectations. What they learned, the pageant, the girls night out experiences all worked collectively to provide them with a very positive experience.
The [workshops] challenged me because it showed me that I could be so much more than I was and to never lower myself to other people’s standards. I would love to have another chance to spend time with and meet other amazingly kind girls as I did this year. Also, I feel there is more I can learn from the pageant next year.
